iPod, iTunes and therefore I Am ( ecstatic )
I bought an iPod Classic (80 GB) couple of weeks back and I am absolutely in love with it.
To start off, I am a big fan of Apple and its products. They are built with so much soul and character. The finesse and feel, ecstatic.
The 80 GB iPod classic (6th generation) is much thinner than the 30 GB iPod video (5th Generation) . The coverflow feature is stunning. Although its a bit slow ( as mentioned by others), its lovely to play around.
Music is fantastic. Most of them report that the quality of music has deteriorated in the new generation of iPod classic. I personally feel its as good as the older versions ( probably better). I would suggest you buy a better headphone - BOSE , Creative or Senheiser (Mine is on its way). The earphones are a bit disappointing.
One of th new features is the shuffle option right at the song. In the older iPod's one had to navigate back to the main menu to change the "Shuffle" option. Thats a good fix.
Videos look cool on the iPod Classic. The 200 DPI resolution is great. I have tons of videos ( mostly video podcasts) and I enjoy every moment watching them.
The greatest plugin is iTunes. Some complain that it is too clumsy to use iTunes. But I have a different view. Steve jobs had the view of popularizing the iTunes and believe me it's come out for good. The podcasts listed in the iTunes store are stunning.

Mera Bharat Mahan
If I had to pick THE video to describe our nation, this would be it.
I've grown up humming to the tune of this video. I'm sure you (Indain) also agree with me.

Good people create; Great people copy.
Why I love Apple products.
People ( relatives , friends and colleagues) always ask me why i like Apple products so much. Is it because of the finesse in their products; is it because thay are at the pinnacle of innovation; is it because of the charismatic CEO Steve Jobs - or is it something else?
Well, i try to answer all of them right now. "try to" - really. Most of them never bog down.
Let me start with Microsoft in picture. Most of my friends argue with me that Windows is the best operating system; It is so much user friendly than any other in the market. They even complain saying "Apple's OS X is quite difficult to learn". Almost all of them fail to realise they are "primed". They are so used to the windows operating system, that they fail to appreciate the original product.
Speaking of "original" most of the (so called) windows fans claim that Apple copied it too from Xerox. They do not know that Steve Jobs had invested in Xerox corp. The Board of Directors at Xeroxfailed to realise what their engineers had created - The Mouse and GUI. When Steve Jobs saw it for the first time, he said " It was breathtaking". His vision brought the GUI to the world.
Continuing on Windows, some of them cant argue about Windows and they switch to Bill Gates - ( I take this from my conversation with Abhishek - one of my closest pals). He said and i quote " Bill Gates' marketing was the best" and I am in complete agreement with his statement. I admire Bill Gates' thought, his vision, his marketing and his business acumen. He is one of those great leaders ( his book Business at the spped of thought inspired me so much) . But then, that dosent help me praise Windows.
Lets get this and get this straight, how many of you had heard about other operating systems other than Windows before you left your school? - Not many I suppose. In all those years, you were exposed only to Windows. Windows was the heart and soul of the computer. It does take some time to switch to a new operating system.
It does sound wierd - but Windows is the only operating system that you start ( Press Start ) to shut down.
On the other hand Apple products have so much creativity, so much passion, so much culture. A comparision between Apple and Microsoft products would be similar to comparing European cars and American Cars.
I have just started off on Apple vs Microsoft. This discussion is far from over.
One of those situations where being good is better than being great.
